  • What’s the typical timeline if I choose Northwest Fence for my project?

First, we schedule an appointment with an estimator to meet with you on-site. They will draw up a quote with the measurements and options discussed, and you will receive it by email within 7–10 business days (weekends and major holidays excluded). To begin the project, we must receive signed paperwork and a 50% deposit. Within 5 business days, your project will be scheduled, and dates will be sent to your email. If we do not receive confirmation within 2–3 business days, we will call for verbal confirmation or reschedule at your convenience.
  • How should I prepare the area for fence installation?

Please make sure the installation area is completely clear of any landscaping, debris, or objects that might obstruct the work. This includes trees, shrubs, and other fixed items. If something cannot be removed, our estimator will be happy to offer creative solutions to work around it during your on-site consultation.
  • Who contacts the utility companies before installation begins?

We take care of notifying public utility companies by submitting a dig request along with your property’s plot plan. This ensures any public utility lines are properly marked. If your property has private utilities that won’t be covered in this process, we can arrange for a private locator to identify and mark those lines as well.
  • Why am I required to sign a disclosure letter?

The State of Washington requires all property owners to sign a lien release for construction projects. This document protects both you and our company and is kept on file as part of your project documentation.
  • What type of gate can I get from you?

All of our gates are custom-built to fit your specific needs and preferences. We take precise measurements during the planning process to ensure your gate is functional, secure, and matches the style of your fence and your preferences.
  • Do you haul away the dirt from where the posts are set?

By default, our crew will rake the displaced dirt evenly around each post, allowing natural rain and settling to help it blend back into the ground or will place it in a designated area of your choosing. Large rocks will be placed in a designated area of your choice. If you’d prefer the dirt to be hauled away, this service can be added to your quote for an additional fee.
